What is SimplePact?
SimplePact is a web application that enables you to create, send out and manage agreements, contracts, releases, pledges, and other digital documents. It is structured like a basic agreement, with three main sections: title, body, and digital signatures (typed names and initials). Here are a few samples: Pact Demo 1, Pact Demo 1, Pact Demo 3.
Who is it for?
SimplePact is for anyone who wants an easy way to create and share online documents that function as agreements. Creative producers, entrepreneurs, project managers, volunteer coordinators, social organizers, bandleaders, wedding planners and house-swappers are some examples of who could use this tool.
Is it free?
SimplePact is free. A revenue-generating strategy may be employed in the future but that is a work-in-progress. Show your support by telling your friends and/or linking to the site.
What are the advantages?
Simplicity, convenience and professionalism. You can create the document in your own words or drop in a template of legalese, whatever your want. With SimplePact you can reach people anywhere, at any time, and give them an easy way to respond and get on board. And you'll look professional, even if you're at home in your pajamas eating cookie dough.
How does it work?
Click on "Make a SimplePact" and get started, it's that easy. For more info you can click on "Demo" and you will have access to a demo logon that allows you to get under the hood. Ultimately the easiest thing to do is just get going and make one. note: you must have the rights to any intellectual or other creative property (e.g. legal forms, pictures, etc.) that you paste or upload into your SimplePact.
Is it secure?
Yes. You create your own Pact Link name for extra security. Your logon and password are secure and you will create a new set for each SimplePact that you make. BE SURE TO SAVE YOUR LOGON AND PASSWORD INFO. Generally speaking, use common sense in Pact Link creation - if you're not concerned and just want the link to have the same name as your project then that is easy to do, otherwise consider naming the link something less obvious.
What if I forget my username and/or password?
Use the contact form to request that information. Include the email address that you used for your Pact. You will receive an email with the username and password for all of your Pacts. Please take all precautions to remember your logon information as it will take at least 24 hours to respond to these requests.
Who runs this?
My name is Steve Rudolf. I came up with the idea for SimplePact as a convenient way to get performer releases for my music documentary. I worked with a friend who (lucky for me) is a talented web developer and here is the end result. My sincere hope is that you use the site to help get your projects moving forward and make good things happen.
